Story: Designed in honor of my father and the hunts him and I shared growing up. The designs are based of illustration and detail to the hunts, boar, black bear, and elk. The beer would be marketed to a audience of 21 years or older, that enjoy the outdoors and are looking for a beer to sit around the campfire with family and friend to tell stories of their own, like the ones on each individual case of Big Earl Beer.
Value: Our value is to strike up great conversation between both loved ones, folks you are getting to know, or complete strangers across the bar from you. There will never be a dull moment in the conversation when you have a good hunting story to share. Let Big Earl Beer give you the ultimate conversation piece of your first hunt, or simply your experiences in the great ole outdoors.
Each label has the illustration of a animal that was specific to a hunt and a time in which the animal came into the stand, that the beer in named after. Through these illustrations it will allow there to be conversation to be made. This conversation can lead to other conversations about past stories, or day-to-day life in either the outdoors or with family. Communicating with each other through a conversation piece, Big Earl Beer.

My concept was birds within the Northwoods, and my focus was learning to better my illustration skills. I wanted to create original illustrations that focus on the build of common birds of the Northwoods and depict a organic stylistic approach from hand sketches to computer renderings. A challenge I encountered throughout the design was the fact that I only had three colors to work with, red, yellow, and black. This challenge pushed me as a designer to play with color opacities to create shadow and textural qualities within my illustrations. Though I did play with a more creative and new style approach to a normal playing deck, I decided after researching the importance of the traditional layout of the pips and suits that sticking with this format would work best throughout my designs and focus more on the organic structure of the birds. Additionally, the illustrations, traditional pips, and traditional suits match the colors of each individual card. This way the cards may be used to play any game the user chooses.

Hospital Info: The Mountain Air Rehabilitation Center, located in Apex, North Carolina will provide top care and comfort to the patients in the surrounding area of North Carolina as well as bring forth an environmentally friendly facility into the area. Being rated in 2015 as the nations number one place to live provides a sense of great living in the neighboring cities of our facility. The city motto, “Peak of Good Living” is a city where our facility will stand hand in hand to continue to provide the area with the best care and living within our facility.
Benefit: Raising money to help fund Mountain Air Rehabilitation Center is our number one goal. Our team finds this to be our number one priority of our team and our patience due to the importance of our patients and our facility to provide them with the best care in North Carolina. The funds will help provide state of the art infrastructure to create a environment thats meets the criteria of both being eco friendly and cozy and welcoming for our patients. With these improvements, it will create a prosperous rehabilitation center that will do more than improve the lives of our patients, but bring the comfort and livelihood back into the community as well.
Concept: Throughout the process of designing for Mountain Air Rehabilitation Center I chose to keep a fun yet minimal color palette for all aspects of the advertisements with the colors originating from the landscape of North Carolina. The design for the facility is based off of imagery of the landscape, as Apex is very involved and protects the environment and landscape of Apex in all aspects.
Marketing Material: In designing the website and layout of the pages, all aspects of the rehabilitation center are minimal with imagery adorning the marketing material here and there. All navigation throughout the website are cleanly displayed and buttons easily accessible for all ages to access. I wanted the overall feeling of the marketing material to have a calming, relaxed, and welcoming effect on my audience so when they are viewing any of my designs they will feel welcome in interacting with them.
Website | Mobile Layout: The website and mobile layout include images of the surrounding area as well as opaque graphics that will be the over all furniture displayed within the web and mobile layouts of the hospitals website. I also built the website with a full understanding of the community and the area with extensive research and designed user friendly for a wide array of users. The website also contains simplified icons and hand drawn graphics to correspond to the over all feel of the rehabilitation center. The pages are broken up into sections to allow the users to easily search the site without problems. There also contains a large section about donations that will clearly showcase the importance of going with our rehabilitation center.

Project Goals: Our project goal was to make paper cool again and to also reinvigorate and give life to the processes and usage of paper in how it touches a persons life. Within our video we show how versatile the interaction and interconnectivity between each form/project/piece of work the paper takes into its own personality with each project. Our goal was to convey these processes into a visual interaction between the characters in the video along with the nostalgia and the interaction between the Neenah paper and the person throughout a consumers life. In doing so, we found it important to show a subtle compare and contrast within our video to display the importance and the integrity of Neenah Paper.
Background Information: We averaged our video to be 1- 3 minutes long with multiple quick shots of different stories/scenes/settings of interconnectivity between both person and Neenah Paper. Along our storyboard we included a series of paper scenes being used from different stages of usage/progress/crafting which include scenes such as drawing board space, to crafting objects out of paper, to how paper creates a sentimental moment in our life.
Concept: Our concept was to bring forth the message of nostalgia between paper and the consumer through day to day routines or the professional to show the importance of how we use and cherish memories with Neenah’s paper.
Target Audience: Our target audience is people around the world that interact with paper on a day to day basis. We primarily want to target a older generation to remind them of what paper used to mean to them when they were younger and the nostalgia that went with each interaction.
